Finding the right youth soccer program for your child can be challenging. You have to
consider if the soccer program fits your budget, includes high quality coaching, and
cultivates a fun & healthy environment for your player to learn and grow within. With
these factors in mind, USA Stars Grassroots may be a great fit for your family.
Who should join Grassroots?
USA Stars Grassroots is the ideal beginner-friendly program for boys and girls ages 5
to 10. We welcome players of all skill levels to our program to not only help kids learn
and grow their soccer abilities but also to teach them the important life skills of
teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship.
Grassroots is also the perfect stepping stone from recreational soccer to competitive
soccer. Most youth players enjoy recreational soccer in the fall months, but
struggle to find a year round program outside of competitive soccer. We wanted to
create a program where players can continue getting better without the commitment
and challenge of competitive soccer. Additionally, if Grassroots players and USA Stars
Coaches decide that players are ready for the competitive environment, we partner
with our competitive teams to offer a gradual transition from Grassroots to Competitive
Soccer.
What does Grassroots look like?
Here at USA Stars, we follow the US Soccer Grassroots play-practice-play framework.
Each training session includes skill focused drills, games to utilize taught skills, and
small sided game-like scenarios. Our players begin and end each training session with
games that are designed to cultivate a love for soccer while also improving their skills.
Grassroots includes two training sessions per week in the afternoons after school on
Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In addition to training sessions, we also offer weekend games! Similarly to recreational
soccer, we have games on Saturday mornings during the fall season but will have the
ability to also offer games during the spring season as well. We will look to form new
teams during each season based upon skill level and age.
How can I sign-up?
If you are interested in pre-registering your child for the 2022-23 Grassroots season,
please use the link below to sign up. By pre-registering, you are securing a spot in our
program but will not be asked for any form of payment just yet. The official registration
link will be sent to you on May 1st, 2022 where you will have two registration options.
Listed below are the Grassroots options for this season:
● $80 monthly – training sessions only
● $100 monthly – training sessions and fall/spring games
