Overview: Youth soccer tryouts preparation, tryout dates and times, and how to register
With the new soccer season right around the corner, you might be contemplating which competitive soccer program is the right fit for your child. There are many things to consider before enrolling your child into a program. We addressed a few aspects of this in our last article, but want to talk a bit about preparing for tryouts.
Finding a Good Youth Soccer Program for Tryouts:
Before your child tries out for a soccer team, it’s important to know if the actual program is right for your child.
You can ask current players and family about the program’s training reputation. Players and families are not just a team — everyone should be part of the program’s community. This is something that USA Stars Academy takes pride in.
A good soccer program, for example, focuses on supporting and mentoring aspiring players during tryouts and off the field. Staff will help players create a solid foundation through soccer fundamentals and appropriate techniques that build confidence in the sport.
What is USA Stars Competitive Soccer?
Competitive soccer is the next level of development for players who are interested in a more challenging environment. With our academy, players follow a carefully crafted custom curriculum that builds each year with a progression of skills, techniques and tactics as they develop in each age group.
Teams are coached and trained by our professional coaching staff in an intimate team setting so appropriate attention is given to each player — including your little one.
In addition to our regular training sessions, USA Stars Academy also offers programs for our players including: strength & conditioning, speed & agility, and striker training.
ABOUT USA STARS ACADEMY:
USA Stars Soccer Academy will be hosting comp tryouts in May for all players who are interested in joining our club.
USA Stars Academy is based in El Dorado County (California) but also serves the surrounding communities. Our year-round training utilizes the most proven methodology and curriculum of youth soccer development available to help players of all ages, levels, and abilities reach goals both on and off the pitch.
Youth Soccer Tryout Dates & Times:
Age Groups: U8 – U14 (2015 – 2009)
Sunday May 15th – Thursday May 19th
Sunday (5/15): 2 P.M. – 6 P.M.
Monday – Thursday (5/16-19): 6 P.M. – 9 P.M.
Age Groups: U15 – U19 (2008 – 2004)
Monday May 23rd – Thursday May 26th
6 P.M. – 9 P.M.
Please note that these are tryout windows. Age group tryout times will be announced after registering.
