The USA Star Grassroots program is a foundational program designed to introduce our youngest players to the sport and provide them with an alternative route to the competitive player development pathway, which allows them to matriculate at the pace of their individual development.
Kids come to have fun. Fun for kids is being in control, playing games, competing, and scoring. Learning at these ages needs to be fun, and kids must be intrinsically motivated by personal success. We believe in creating fun, challenging, game-based environments where kids can experiment, be creative, and learn to make their own decisions in the game. Research shows that skill acquisition in games-based learning is accelerated, leading to increased repetitions and a mastery-motivation climate.
No one cares more about the happiness and well-being of children than parents. Parents make the ideal volunteers. We believe in identifying and encouraging parents who have some degree of playing experience and or teaching experience not only to volunteer their time but also to come into the program to gain their coaching education, both within the club and outside the club, through our partnership with US Soccer Grassroots Coaching Education. Coaches are trained internally in the program curriculum and coaching methods and are highly encouraged to earn their US Soccer Grassroots and D Coaching License.
Twice a week (Monday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00pm). Subject to changes in weather conditions, player’s safety, and the Club’s Schedule.
The season includes two practice jerseys for $250 per player (the club member has a 10% discount).

Refunds will not occur for cancellations less than 10 days before the first session. A club credit towards another event, such as camps or clinics or a future USA Stars Grassroots season, will be issued.

If any of the above applies to you, Grassroots is a good fit. This USA Stars kids soccer program is especially ideal for families who desire to give their child premium training in a low-competition environment.
Younger kids who are interested in continuing into our advanced programs are also encouraged to join the Grassroots program as preliminary training. Not only does Grassroots provide your child with a solid representation of how the academy is directed, but it also gives them the opportunity to establish friendships with fellow teammates, develop relationships with the coaches, and understand their athletic strengths and areas of opportunities at a young age.
