If you’re searching for kids soccer programs in El Dorado County, Grassroots is the ideal beginner-friendly program that focuses on kids between 5 and 8 years of age.
Designed to be low-competitive, fun, and challenging, Grassroots is a dynamic soccer program that benefits children of all skill levels. It’s suitable for the child who kicks soccer balls at home for fun, and it’s suitable for the child who has never touched a soccer ball but is interested in the game.
The USA Stars U8 Soccer Academy offers children within our community a chance to participate in an environment that provides a unique blend of learning, physical activity, and fun! Our passionate coaching staff builds a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that instills values of teamwork and sportsmanship. USA Stars believes in making soccer as enjoyable as possible in the attempt to create a lasting love in the game for players, while still providing a competitive club soccer environment by aligning ourselves with the U.S. Soccer’s training standards that seek to promote a player centric model of development.
USA Stars Boys Director & Grassroots Director, Coach Kasey Cox & Aliyah Utush, will mentor the Academy, teaching basic soccer fundamentals to younger players. This positive experience will involve disguised learning in various games, providing players with numerous ball touches while maintaining a fun soccer experience. The main goal is to foster a love for the sport and develop fundamental skills that will benefit them in their soccer journey.
By focusing on individual player development, each player can improve their skills and confidence on the field. With increased confidence comes better ball control, achieved through maximum touches during training sessions. These sessions also work on improving ball skills, movement, balance, and coordination, resulting in overall better performance during games. By allowing the game to be the best teacher, players can experience real-game situations and learn how to adapt and excel in those scenarios.

If any of the above applies to you, Grassroots is a good fit. This USA Stars kids soccer program is especially ideal for families who desire to give their child premium training in a low-competition environment.
Younger kids who are interested in continuing into our advanced programs are also encouraged to join the Grassroots program as preliminary training. Not only does Grassroots provide your child with a solid representation of how the academy is directed, but it also gives them the opportunity to establish friendships with fellow teammates, develop relationships with the coaches, and understand their athletic strengths and areas of opportunities at a young age.
